Tidings of Joy, celebrate God’s Precious Gift!

(Luke 2:10-11). “Then the Angel said to them, ‘do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

We are in the Season were we remember the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ which was Heralded with great Blessings and Promises of God. For so long it was the hope of all humanity that God would send the Messiah, the Savior of the world to redeem man as the Holy Scriptures Prophesied.

Since the fall of man, there was no man who could take away the sins of humanity except to offer the sacrifices of animals for sins. Now Good sent his son is the ultimate solution to Man’s sin. Jesus came to save us, he is the precious gift of God we need to celebrate! While Christmas day is not the exact date of his birth, the significance of his birth is echoed and remembered!

What is the Significance of Christ’s Birth to Humanity?

1. It is Good News from above. vs 10a. The Birth of the Messiah is not ordinary news. It is the greatest expectation of mankind, God came down to be with his people. 

2. He is the source of Joy. vs 10b. Jesus Christ has brought Joy to the world full of trouble and sorrow. Have you found the Joy of having Christ in your Life?

3. He is the Savior of the World. vs 11. Jesus Christ to Save humanity from sin and it’s penalty which is death. He had to suffer, die and rose from the dead to redeem the human race. Jesus has dealt with sin, you can believe in him today to be the Lord of your Life and you will be saved. This is what we celebrate, God’s Precious Gift!
