Missions
Tabernacle of David Assembly is committed to missions work in Zambia and abroad. We are driven by the passion for the lost and a desire to take the true word of God to everyone who comes into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our work in Missions began at the founding of the Tabernacle of David Assembly in 2004 and since then we have been involved in various mission work both in Zambia and abroad.
The mission work involves conducting Gospel Outreaches, whose primary goal is to evangelize and win people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to the gospel outreaches, the church is involved in humanitarian, health, and environmental causes in various rural places in Zambia. Over the years, community outreaches have been conducted to achieve the following
Provide Medical Aid
Our rural communities face challenges in accessing essential health services and good nutrition for the growing population. This has prompted the TOD Assembly to get involved in addressing some of these challenges through a team of medical professionals. The Church mobilizes medical experts on a volunteer basis who provide the communities with the much needed health services and nutrition education.
Access to clean water
Some communities lack basic needs like access to clean water forcing women and children to walk long distances to fetch water. In Chideza Village of Chipangali District in Eastern Province, the Tabernacle of David Assembly was able to sink a borehole and installed a pump powered by solar energy to provide clean water to the people and their livestock.
Access to transportation
Tabernacle of David Assembly donated motorcycles and bicycles to our rural Pastors as a way of contributing to the great commission. This is to help them reach more people with the gospel and plant more churches.
Bible School
Many Pastors in rural Churches lack adequate bible training due to the absence of affordable and easily accessible bible training Schools within their reach. TOD mission’s team is committed to building training centers where pastors in rural areas can be equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills. One such training center was constructed in Chideza village in Chipata district of Eastern Province. The training centre which includes a house for teachers to stay in during training sessions trains all Church leaders from all denominations present in the area.
Volunteering
Tabernacle of David Assembly members is always delighted to serve in Mission work by way of volunteering. Members with different spiritual and professional callings bring to the table a blend of resources that makes it possible to do holistic Missions.
Missions Support
The missions department at TOD is supported by members and well-wishers. We are delighted to receive donations in monetary form and goods in kind for various mission projects and for onward distribution to people in need during the outreaches respectively. The support from members and well-wishers is a way of partnering with God in reaching the lost and providing help to the less privileged in rural places.
